I have no room to judge, though — I’ve been a member of ONTD for over four years now, and I can tell you from firsthand experience that the internet can’t be saved.

Now, birthday resolutions are a completely different story.

One thing I’ve learned about myself in the past two years is that my need for perfection cripples me. In the case of the site, my frustration with its presentation made me want to write less, and writing less made me more frustrated. Vicious cycles, etcetera, etcetera.

My current goal is to write. I won’t lie, I’m writing for you, wherever you are, but I’m writing for myself as well. There are so many things bouncing around in my head that probably won’t get better with age, and I shouldn’t wait until I figure out that one piece of code or draw that one image. This means that you’ll see the site shifting and changing around as things are posted (that is, unless you use an RSS reader), and that’s okay.

(That last bit was probably more for my own peace of mind than for yours. I’m really quite nervous!)
